Safety Training
We can provide quality training programs at your facility, as well as, specialized training at our location. We have the necessary training equipment and facilities to provide you with quality training and certification.
Most programs can be offered at your facility. Training equipment is provided by ASTM. On-site training results in less down time and is very cost effective.
Bloodborne Pathogens
Employees with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, Hepatitis B or other potentially infectious materials participate in a training program which must be provided at no cost to the employee and during working hours. Annual training for all employees is required within one year of their previous training.
CPR & First Aid Certification
It is a requirement of OSHA that employees be given a safe and healthy workplace that is reasonably free of occupational hazards. First-aid and CPR training will be conducted using the conventional methods of training such as lecture, demonstration, practical exercise and examination (both written and practical).
Crane Operator Safety
Crane operator safety is a course design to provide education to crane operators in safe operating practices and procedures used used in all areas of industry including offshore and onshore. Course is required by OSHA. A Complete Review of all Course Materials is Required every 36 months.
Confined Space Entry
Students will be able to identify and establish proper entry permit procedures, recognize and control hazards, ventilation, conduct atmospheric monitoring, personal protective equipment, non-entry rescue and comply with OSHA requirements.
Electrical Safety
All employees who face a risk of electric shock should be trained in safe usage of electrical equipment. In training the employee will learn about proper grounding, grounds faults, and proper usage of equipment to insure their safety.
Fall Protection
Course content includes; regulations, fall forces and the body, equipment selection, care and use, anchorage, protective systems and rescue requirements. Classroom time and hands-on sessions will be conducted to give participants the working knowledge needed to prevent fall injuries. This program is designed to identify and comply with federal OSHA regulations on “Fall Protection”.
Forklift Safety
This training program based on the general principles of safe truck operation, the types of vehicle(s) being used in the workplace, the hazards of the workplace created by the use of the vehicle(s), and the general safety requirements of the OSHA standard. Trained operators will learn how to do the job properly and do it safely as demonstrated by workplace evaluation. Classroom lecture and hands-on demonstration training must be completed. Training and evaluate is required once every three years. Forklift certification should be site specific to the type of forklift and job being done by the employee.
Hazcom
OSHA requires employees to know that they are exposed to hazardous chemicals, how to read and use labels and material safety data sheets (MSDS). Employees have a right to know what chemicals their are using and the proper handling and usage of that chemical. The employer is responsible for training, required PPE, and providing MSDS book with a list of chemical used. Information and training must be designed to cover hazard categories or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and material safety data sheets. Annual training is required by OSHA.
H2S
All employees must receive annual training who work in locations where hydrogen sulfide is present or the possibility exists for it to be present. These include employees working on production operations, offshore and land drilling, refinery and chemical plants, as well as any underground location where H2S may exist. Required by OSHA.
Lockout / Tagout
Lockout/Tagout is designed to make participants aware of the hazards related to the accidental release of energy. Classroom lecture and hands-on training will show how to control the release of energy, through proper Lockout/Tagout procedures. Required training is on an annual basis.
PEC
Employee working offshore on PEC member locations is required to attend this orientation. The course covers basic safety awareness, OSHA compliance training, and offshore training.
PPE
Required by OSHA, employees are trained by this section to use personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes hard hats, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, harnesses.
